Media training tip – build your media intelligence

Published by Colin Kelly on November 7, 2024 November 7, 2024

As one of Scotland’s leading media training providers it should be no surprise that at Comsteria, we live and breathe the media.

Our roots are in the traditional, mainstream media but we’re just as passionate about digital media and emerging channels. It’s a world we’re used to and there’s a feeling of safety and familiarity that comes with that.

Of course, many of our clients, perhaps you reading this, feel quite differently about the media. It might be unknown, intimidating, strange and all sorts of other difficult and negative things to you. Perhaps you had a bad experience with it in the past and know first-hand how biased and exploitative it can be.

We like to think we help our clients overcome at least some of that and show them how they can enjoy better, more productive relationships with the media. One thing we always recommend is taking a bit of time to become more familiar with the media yourself. In addition to the training and support we provide, finding some time yourself to consume the media and consume it critically, could make a big difference.

Here’s Comsteria’s Managing Director and media trainer Colin Kelly to explain more.
